1. Manuscript Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts through the official JFAS online submission portal.

2. Initial Editorial Screening
The editorial team reviews the manuscript for scope, originality, formatting, and plagiarism check using standard software tools. Manuscripts that do not meet basic standards are returned to the authors.

3. Assignment to Handling Editor
Suitable submissions are assigned to a subject-expert handling editor, who oversees the peer review process.

4. Double-Blind Peer Review
The manuscript is sent to two or more independent reviewers.

  • Both reviewers and authors remain anonymous (double-blind review).
  • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript’s scientific quality, relevance, clarity, methodology, and originality.

5. Reviewer Feedback & Recommendations
Reviewers submit one of the following recommendations:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revisions
  • Major Revisions
  • Reject

6. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewers’ feedback, the handling editor makes a decision:

  • Accept
  • Request Revisions (Minor or Major)
  • Reject

7. Revision by Author
If revisions are requested, the author revises and resubmits the manuscript along with a detailed response to reviewers’ comments.

8. Re-evaluation (if needed)
Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers or assessed by the editor alone, depending on the extent of changes.

9. Final Decision
The editor issues the final decision. If accepted, the manuscript proceeds to production.

10. Copyediting & Proofing
The accepted article undergoes language editing, formatting, and author proofing for final corrections.

11. Online Publication
The article is published online in the current issue with open access, indexed with DOI and other metadata.
